About us
The Des Moines Civil War Round Table is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the study of the American Civil War, including Iowa’s role in it. Founded in 1965, the Des Moines Civil War Round Table has served Central Iowa’s Civil War enthusiasts for more than sixty years.
We welcome anyone with an interest in Civil War history to attend our monthly dinner meetings featuring knowledgeable speakers – both locally, and from around the country. Whether you are a lifelong student of history or simply curious to learn more, we invite you to join us!
